The side arms are pushed outward by toggle bars connected to a hydraulic cylinder, which is activated by turning the attached reach rod. Two brass latches automatically lock the clamp into place at the correct position, eliminating guesswork and holding the tool steady during alignment.<\/p>\n
The hydraulic mechanism uses a manual pump to expand the toggle bars, providing consistent and powerful force to press the side arms against the pipe interior. Each clamp is machined to match specific internal wall thicknesses, allowing for close-tolerance alignment.
