Proline\u2019s Welding (Cooling) Blankets minimize cracks while welding steel pipes by gradually lowering the temperature of welded metal pipes. They also act as a protective barrier to keep your crew from burning themselves.<\/p>\n

Blankets are made with a canvas exterior and lined with 1\u201d fiberglass insulation and glass cloth for superior heat protection. The elastic strap makes them easy to secure, and an S-hook ensures a tight fit to your pipes.<\/p>\n

The layers help slow heat dissipation from the weld, allowing it to \u201ccure.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The 1\u201d fiberglass cloth is the layer that comes into contact with a weld because it has the highest temperature resistance.<\/span><\/p>\n

The canvas exterior layer is not exposed to hotter temperatures and does not have the same heat resistance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proline’s welding or cooling blankets as they are sometimes known, prevents weld cracks from forming by keeping the welded pipes from cooling to quickly.
