Filming Pig

Filming pigs are specialized pipeline cleaning tools designed to apply corrosion inhibitors and protective coatings evenly on pipeline walls. These pigs feature a bypass disc that creates a consistent layer of film while maintaining a low differential pressure, ideal for lower-pressure pipelines. Their design typically includes a conical or flexible nose for maneuvering through tight bends and complex pipeline geometries, ensuring even application across various pipeline types. Made from durable materials like urethane, filming pigs are often used alongside a lead pig for improved batch control, allowing precise application of inhibitors or other coatings in industries like oil, gas, and water management.

  • Lightweight – no metal components.
  • Improved sealing as hollow core allows pressure to expand the pig body.
  • Multiple seals provide excellent product interface.
  • Standard hollow core to accommodate an electronic transmitter.
