Deckhand® S Excavator Attachment

Small, versatile, and packed with features: the Deckhand® S is engineered around optimal safety allowing precise load handling and placement. The in-cab control panel features a touch screen to make quick adjustments and calibrations on the fly. The Deckhand® S can tilt further than the original Deckhand® head unit, ensuring maximum adaptability to any job.

The Deckhand® system is a modular design that consists of a main head unit that works in tandem with interchangeable arm attachments. The head unit mounts to any brand of excavator; the excavator’s auxiliary hydraulics then safely and efficiently power the system. Interchangeable arms are used to pick up pipe, poles, casings, or road mats and securely lift, lower, rotate, and tilt the load under the total control of the operator inside the excavator cab.

  • In-Cab display allows operator to safely monitor and adjust all functions, working parameters, and hydraulic settings from inside the excavator or prime mover.
  • Designed with load holding valves so that pipe is held securely regardless of hydraulic pressure.
  • Main Beam can tilt up to 24.5° in either direction.
  • Shift Function allows each Arms to independently shift up to 5.5” along the Main Beam.
  • Powered by the auxiliary circuit on excavator or prime mover.
  • Optional stick-mounted camera allows operator to see in even the most difficult spaces.

Easy Installation

  • The Deckhand® pins can be easily adjusted for diameter to allow for easy installation on any stick. Deckhand® is connected to the auxiliary circuit through the use of two hydraulic quick connects.
  • Excavator hand grips are replaced with Deckhand® control handles. In-cab monitor and electronic cab box are installed inside cab.
