Steel Body Construction Pig 16-48 in.
The Steel Body Construction Pig, available in sizes from 16 to 48 inches, is a robust tool designed to locate and clear obstructions in pipelines, ensuring the smooth passage of cleaning equipment. Built with a durable steel body, this pig is perfect for the construction phase, where it’s essential to maintain pipeline cleanliness.
The UC2 model, fitted with two sturdy Series C cups made from wear-resistant Reliathane polyurethane, provides dependable light cleaning. These specially engineered cups have a large wearing surface and a sharp edge that’s held securely against the pipe wall by product pressure, enhancing longevity and efficiency. For more demanding tasks, choose from the UC3 and UC4 models, which feature additional cups for progressively intense cleaning. Each model is engineered to navigate 1.5D bends with ease, making the Steel Body Construction Pig a reliable choice for long-distance pipeline maintenance.
- Every UC2 16 – 48 in. pig is manufactured with by-pass ports. These ports feature threaded plugs that can be removed, should by-pass be required. By removing by-pass plugs, a portion of the product flow is redirected through these openings. The debris is suspended in the turbulent flow and transferred ahead of the pig.
- Standard bumper noses cushion the pig and help protect in-line auxiliary equipment, preventing damage.
- Carver discs.
- Rattlers.
- Transmitter housing to accommodate electronic tracking equipment.
- Aluminum gauging plates in slotted or standard styles.
- Three (UC3) and Four cup (UC4) configurations.
- Magnets can be used to either collect ferrous and other construction debris, or they can be used to provide a change in magnetic field required by non-intrusive pig signaler detection devices.
